Project ImPACT Advanced Course

The webinar will be held over 3 days (November 4, 5, and 6) from 9:00 am-1:45 PST (12:00-4:45 EST)

PROJECT IMPACT:

Project ImPACT is recognized as one of the most effective coaching programs for parents of young children (up to age 6) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other social communication challenges. Research on parent mediated intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder and related social communication challenges shows that it is an effective treatment approach that leads to improvements for the child and family. Project ImPACT targets core skills in four areas of social communication: Social engagement, communication and language, imitation, and play. It is a naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention, or NDBI, that uses evidence-based intervention strategies to promote the child’s social communication.

Project ImPACT incorporates neurodiversity-affirming principles by focusing on skills that naturally lead to learning, social connection, and well-being, promote autonomy, and support coping and self-regulation. In addition, Project ImPACT uses an individualized and strength-based approach, naturalistic intervention strategies, and collaboration with the family to ensure that intervention is tailored to the needs and preferences of the child.
