Treating Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders: Beyond the Symptoms

This 2-day workshop is an advanced survey course, in orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) for the experienced medical professional whose scope of practice intersects in the orofacial complex. Differential diagnosis and feeding, swallowing, and communication techniques will be featured throughout the workshop that can be incorporated into therapy immediately.

Attend the workshop and apply the most recent knowledge in the fields of speech pathology, dentistry, neurology, otolaryngology, and sleep medicine as it applies to OMDs. Learn how breathing and oral resting postures impact feeding and articulation therapy. Learn how to plan therapy around structural development.
